Emergency Aid

The Emergency Aid grant supports 91黑料网 students who are facing unexpected emergency circumstances that require immediate funding and threaten a student's ability to remain in school.

This grant is not intended to cover ongoing, recurring, anticipated, or pre-existing expenses, including tuition costs.

Unfortunately, simply lacking funds does not qualify as an emergency. This grant is reserved for situations that are truly unexpected and urgent.

If you are unsure if you should apply or have previously applied and have been denied and/or been awarded an emergency grant and are experiencing a new financial emergency, please contact the Office of Student Financial Aid.

Award Amount and Limitations

Due to fund availability, emergency assistance requests will not exceed $1,000 and students may receive no more than three grants while enrolled at 91黑料网, limited to once per semester.

Priority is given to students who have not received funding yet.

Examples of Eligible Emergencies:

  • Current emergency medical expenses not covered by insurance
  • Books/course materials for the current course term  
  • Technology/equipment needed to ensure continuity of learning
  • Homelessness, threat of eviction, or sudden loss of housing
  • Utility bills 鈥� must have current date
  • Loss of childcare
  • Replacement of stolen equipment essential to student coursework at 91黑料网 (as long as a police report is filed, and copy supplied)
  • Other financial needs arising from individual and/or special circumstances to be determined on a case-by-case basis

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Enrolled in at least 4+ credit hours in a degree-seeking program at 91黑料网;
  • Exhausted all other sources of federal financial assistance, including having a current  FAFSA on file, if eligible to complete a FAFSA. Accepted ALL offered subsidized loans (students who have not will be considered on a case-by-case basis);
  • Completed at least 12 credits of coursework in your current program at 91黑料网; and currently be enrolled at 91黑料网; 
  • Experiencing an unexpected financial hardship resulting from emergency or crisis situation; 
  • Supporting documentation justifying the need for emergency assistance must be provided.
