An examen is a technique of prayerful self-reflection created by Saint Ignatius of Loyola in 1522 that invites us to reflect on our experiences and recognize where God may be calling us. In the midst of the stress and distractions of college life, it can be easy to lose sight of our relationship with God, making intentional moments of reflection especially important.

Each weekly Examen provides students with an opportunity to slow down, reflect on their relationship with God, and recognize the small moments of grace and joy in their lives. Examens typically last 10–15 minutes and will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Holy Family on the following Friday's: 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 11/20, 12/4 and 12/11.

Each Examen will be led by students who write and prepare the prayer, under the guidance of Fr. Grant Garinger, S.J.
