Congratulations on your internship! The College of Business Administration Internship for Credit program is a way for students to reflect on how their business courses and 91ºÚÁÏÍø experience applies into real-world experiences through their internships.

Eligibility for the Overall IFC Program

• Accepted an internship position
• Be at least sophomore standing (completed at least 24 credits) with at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA
• Have a job description to share with the IFC coordinator and Faculty (do not share the offer letter)
• Complete a minimum of 63 hours at your internship site for the 1 credit course
• Complete a minimum of 127.5 hours at your internship site for the 3 credit course

How Many Credits can I earn?

You can earn up to total of 7 credits during your time at 91ºÚÁÏÍø! That means you can do two 3-credit courses and one 1-credit course.

Internship Course Details

Most students are recommended to register their internship in relation to their major-related course. Only choose the General Business Internship for Credit (BUAD) course if you've already successfully completed the major-related course, or if you don’t meet the major-related course requirements. If you're unsure which applies to you, consult the internship for credit coordinator before registering.

Possible ESSV2 Fulfillment

If you began at 91ºÚÁÏÍø in Fall 2020 or later and have the Engaging Social Systems & Values 2 (ESSV2) requirement on your checklist (page 1 within the 91ºÚÁÏÍø Core Curriculum), you may be able to co-enroll in MARQ 3929 along with an approved Internship for Credit course.  See the MARQ 3929 course description below to determine if this might be a good fit. 

After being approved for and enrolling in an Internship for Credit experience (3986 or 4989 course) you should automatically be able to register for MARQ 3929. If any issues or further questions about the course please reach out to Dean Krey (beth.krey@marquette.edu).

MARQ 3929: ESSV2 Reflective Analysis: Taken in conjunction with a college-approved internship, externship, or coop, or with an independent community placement tracked through MUEngage to fulfill the 91ºÚÁÏÍø Core Curriculum ESSV2 requirement. Employ Ignatian pedagogical principles to reflect on the influence of social structures in the real world. Assess the systemic features of race, class, and gender in practical settings. Evaluate plans for contributing to equality and inclusion in the world today. 0 credit / S/U grading scale
