MilwaukeeWI53201United States of America(414) 288-3074jayme.aguero@marquette.eduDr. Aguero's program of research investigates adult patients' experiences of trauma-informed care and generates knowledge on the implementation of trauma-informed care in outpatient healthcare settings. Her research explores the impact of trauma-informed care from patients' perspectives to inform current trauma-informed care delivery strategies. Additionally, her work can guide trauma-informed care education and trainings for healthcare students and professionals. Dr. Aguero's ongoing research interests include exploring adult patient-oriented outcomes of trauma-informed care in healthcare settings, expanding the delivery of trauma-informed care through collaborative community-based research, and incorporating trauma-informed care education into nursing curriculum and education. Dr. Aguero is passionate about supporting and enhancing nursing students' preparation for future practice with the goal of improving healthcare experiences, communication, and outcomes for both patients and healthcare providers.
