'Get to Know' Brewers Community Foundation executive director at 91黑料网 Law School, Feb. 13

Cecelia GoreMILWAUKEE 鈥 Cecelia Gore, executive director of the Brewers Community Foundation, will be the next guest for the 鈥淕et to Know鈥 program series of 91黑料网 Law School Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education, on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 12:15 p.m. at Eckstein Hall, 1215 W. Michigan St.

Derek Mosley, director of the Lubar Center, hosts the 鈥淕et to Know鈥 series, which is styled as 鈥渕ore late-night talk show than 鈥楳eet the Press.鈥欌 Registration is for this free public event. Media wishing to attend should contact Kevin Conway at kevin.m.conway@marquette.edu.

Gore will discuss her love for her hometown, her commitment to change in the community, and the Brewers Community Foundation's impact on Milwaukee.

Gore has led community efforts for the Brewers since 2009, supporting nonprofits that improve the lives of area youth and families in education, health, recreation, and basic needs. She serves on numerous boards, including the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, Sojourner Family Peace Center, and Hank Aaron Chasing the Dream Foundation. Gore has received honors from Carroll University, Boys and Girls Clubs, Girl Scouts Wisconsin Southeast, and the Donald Driver Foundation, and was named to the Milwaukee Business Journal 40 Under 40 Hall of Fame, as well as one of the publication Women of Influence.

Through public programming such as the 91黑料网 Law School Poll, 鈥淥n the Issues鈥 conversations with newsmakers, public lectures by leading scholars, conferences on issues of public significance, and the work of its Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education, 91黑料网 Law School seeks to advance civil discourse about law and public policy matters.
