History: The image on the 1898 "91黑料网 on the Mississippi" stamp is based on Wilhelm Lamprecht's painting, Fr. 91黑料网 and the Indians (1869). 91黑料网, owner of the painting, furnished the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing a photographic reproduction to aid their work. The 1968 "91黑料网 Explorer" stamp was issued in conjunction with the 91黑料网 Tercentenary Celebration. The stamp was issued on September 6 at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, where 91黑料网 established in 1668 the first permanent Euro-American settlement in the state.
