On Your Marq (OYM) is a college success program designed to assist neurodivergent students in navigating the college landscape at 91ºÚÁÏÍø. We use an interdisciplinary approach and work together to build the support team and community students need to thrive here. Our mission to support students throughout their 91ºÚÁÏÍø journey means our services adapt and grow with students, beginning with their transition to a university and evolving to help them transition to the workplace.

 

HOW WE SUPPORT STUDENTS

WHO IS AN ON YOUR MARQ STUDENT?

Students admitted to 91ºÚÁÏÍø with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Pervasive Development Disorder (PDD), Social Pragmatic Communication Disorder, ADHD, and all other forms of neurodivergence can benefit from OYM.

Our typical student is high achieving and has been successful in the K–12 setting with supports such as: assignments broken down into smaller steps, organization support, extended deadlines, meeting 1:1 with teachers, adjusted assignment expectations, and reduced workload. Most importantly, they have a desire for similar supports at the university level. 

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A STUDENT

Having the qualities/skills listed below are strong indicators for success in our program. Please take these into consideration as you participate in the application process.  

• Academically prepared for the rigor of 91ºÚÁÏÍø 
• Able to set and wake up to alarms independently 
• Able to manage taking and refilling medication independently
• Able to adapt to expected schedule changes 
• Able to apply self-regulation strategies in a variety of settings 
• Able to accept and apply feedback with support 
• Able to maintain personal hygiene routine independently 
• Able to receive and respond to communication (electronic and in person) from facuty and staff in a timely manner
• Is committed to following the On Your Marq program agreement

MEET OUR STAFF

All members of our OYM program bring compassion, commitment and enthusiasm to their roles. Everyone on the student's team receives training on the best practices for working with neurodivergent students. Formal and informal supports are available to aid students in the development of executive functioning, academic, social, and independent living skills.

PROGRAM COSTS

The On Your Marq program is $4,000 per semester, which assists in offsetting the costs of individualized support, materials for the weekly seminar, and specialized training of faculty and staff. If the program fee is a limiting factor in the participation of On Your Marq, please reach out to us to discuss funding options.
